You can pose with a pumpkin made of 10,000 Legos at Legoland

How many hours does it take to make a pumpkin out of more than 10,000 Legos? One hundred, says Megan Amaral, Legoland Discovery Center Boston’s master model builder, who designed and built the one in the photograph above.

That 3 1/2-foot plastic creation will be on display in all of its gourd-y glory at Legoland this Saturday and Sunday, plus Tuesday, aka Halloween.

Also part of Legoland’s “Brick or Treat” events: a “Monster Mash” scavenger hunt, a special Halloween building challenge, and a crazy costume contest. Of course, visitors can always check out the destination’s two rides, 10 Lego build and play zones, and 4D cinema, all geared toward kids ages 3 to 10.
