Race through Fenway Park in your skivvies at Cupid’s Undie Run

Normally, running through Fenway Park in your underwear would net you a mandatory meeting with park security. But on Feb. 18, jogging through Friendly Fenway in your skivvies is encouraged.

If your idea of a romantic post-Valentine’s Day weekend involves stripping down to your unmentionables and sprinting past the Green Monster, Cupid’s Undie Run is just for you. Runners who register for the charity run online can join a pre-run party at the House of Blues starting at 12 p.m., jog the half-mile loop starting at 2 p.m., then party the afternoon away until 4 p.m.

The run is part of a nationwide campaign by Cupid Charities held on the weekends surrounding Valentine’s Day. With more than 30 cities across the nation holding their own editions of Cupid’s Undie Run over the next few weeks, organizers hope to surpass the $3.5 million that the runs raised for the Children’s Tumor Foundation and neurofibromatosis research in 2016.

“We run in our undies because people with NF can’t cover up their tumors,” the race website says. “They can’t put clothes on to feel more comfortable, so why should we?”

Don’t want to strip down to your undergarments in the middle of Boston in February? Not to worry: The race website makes clear that they want you to come to Cupid’s and wear whatever you’re comfortable with.” That said, the organizers request that racers don’t wear pasties, thongs, or forego underwear entirely.
