John Mayer is bringing his search for everything to Boston—as in, his “The Search for Everything” World Tour.

TD Garden announced Monday morning that Mayer will appear at the arena on April 9. The concert will include three different performance styles from Mayer, including a set with a full band, a set of Mayer’s signature solo acoustics, and a set from the John Mayer Trio.

It’s all part of the Connecticut native’s month-long nationwide tour to promote his upcoming LP, The Search for Everything. Boston is one of 15 cities in which Mayer will perform before he heads off to Europe for the second leg of the tour.

Mayer released a teaser video to announce the tour (above) and give fans a listen to some of the hits they can expect to hear, plus some snippets of new material.

Presale tickets for the TD Garden appearance will be released Tuesday on Ticketmaster, while general public tickets will go on sale beginning Friday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. According to the event’s Facebook page, each ticket will include a copy of Mayer’s upcoming album.

Mayer will return to Boston this summer, on June 17 and 18, to play two shows at Fenway with his band Dead & Company.
