The Costume Dash 5K returns to Boston this Saturday
You can kick off your Halloween weekend by breaking a sweat in your spookiest attire.

Two runners dressed as dinosaurs run through the Common.
The Costume Dash 5K returns to Boston this Saturday for its second installment, Rugged Races, the company organizing the event, said in a statement.
After 1,500 runners participated in last year’s race while fully dressed up in their best costumes, Rugged Races said it decided to bring the event back and expand it to other cities nationwide.
The race will start in Copley Square at 9 a.m. and finish in the Boston Common, according to the statement. After running down Boylston Street, top finishers will be awarded prizes during an after-party and participants can win awards for having the best costumes, which will be decided by crowd applause.
Runners 21 and older will also be able to partake in a Harpoon Brewery-sponsored pub crawl throughout the city at bars such as Beantown Pub, Barracuda Tavern, The Pour House, and Rattlesnake Bar & Grill, Rugged Races said.
Anyone 10 and older can participate in the event, for which tickets can be purchased until October 26. A few tickets will also be available at the event, according to the statement. Runners can choose to fundraise for the American Cancer Society while they run.
