Pinkberry’s Boozy Ice Cream Social

Harvard Square’s Beat Brasserie is teaming up with Pinkberry to give all the big kids out there booze-infused sundaes for a night. Beat’s bartenders will make concoctions—like a Mango Martini, a Black Hog Granole Brown Ale Float, and a Banana Bread Pudding Sundae—with Pinkberry’s new health-conscious ice cream, Pinkbee’s. (Thursday, September 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Beat Brasserie, Cambridge; $8 per boozy sundae; 21+)

Night Shift Brewing’s Grand Opening

After months of anticipation, the Everett brewery is officially opening its sleek new expansion of their taproom on Friday. To celebrate, they’ll have some special drafts throughout the weekend, plus live music and street food. Sunday’s event will even have brunch! (Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Sunday, September 11 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Night Shift Brewing; free to attend; 21+)

Jason Aldean at Fenway

Country rocker Jason Aldean is taking the Fenway stage as one of the last big outdoor shows of the summer, and is bringing Kid Rock, Thomas Rhett, and A Thousand Horses with him. (Friday, September 9 and Saturday September 10 at 5:30 p.m.; Fenway Park; $79.50+; all ages)

Bostoberfest

More than 30 different Samuel Adams beers will be at Dewey Square for “Bostoberfest”— including some brews that are exclusive to the festival, like Chai IPA and Mesquite BBQ Brown Ale. Plus, there will obviously be food and dancing. Prost!!!! (Saturday, September 10 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Dewey Square on the Rose Kennedy Greenway; $45; 21+)

Sausage Fest Boston

SoWa Trolley Barn is throwing a sausage-themed block party, and you’re invited. All the normal outdoor party elements will be involved (music, beer, food trucks with sausage-inspired dishes). It’s free to attend, but if you want to be fancy, there’s a $12 ticket that gets you a souvenir pint glass. (Saturday, September 10 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.; SoWa Trolley Barn, 540 Harrison Ave, Boston; free to attend, all ages)

Jamaica Plain Music Festival

The sixth annual JP Music Fest is hosting more than 20 local musical acts on two different stages at Pinebank Field. Food trucks and activities for the kiddos will also be there. See the musical lineup here. (Saturday, September 10 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Pinebank Field, Jamaica Plain; free to attend; all ages)

Riverfest

Come on, summer’s not over yet so get your butt outside while you still can. Riverfest at Assembly Row will include live music, arts and crafts, free kids games, a sidewalk sale, and an annual fireworks show over the Mystic River when the sun sets. (Saturday, September 10 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Assembly Row, Somerville; free to attend; all ages)

Lawn on D Yoga

To round out Equinox’s summer fitness series, Boston-based yoga teacher Rebecca Pacheco will lead an outdoor vinyasa class on Sunday morning. Namaste. (Sunday, September 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Lawn on D, South Boston; free for Equinox members, $15 for nonmembers; all ages)

Somerville Dog Festival

It’s like a one-day summer camp for your pooch! Bring your dog over to Trum Field for doggie sports, as well as activities you can do with your dog. Aw. (Sunday, September 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Trum Field, Somerville; free admission, but donations encouraged; all ages)

Cambridge Carnival International

Cambridge’s largest festival—which celebrates African traditions—draws thousands of people every year. Don’t miss the huge costume parade that features musical acts and loads of colorful and bejeweled ensembles. (Sunday, September 11 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Kendall Square, Cambridge; free to attend; all ages)
