#BosTen: Get your ugly sweater and run through the city this weekend

Ten not-lame things to do in Boston this weekend.

1.Ugly Sweater Run If you haven’t gotten enough use out of that old, itchy sweater by the second weekend of December, head to Suffolk Downs and run in a 5K filled with holiday-themed inflatables and obstacles. (Saturday, December 12 at 8:30 a.m.; Suffolk Downs; $40; all ages)

2. Jingle Ball If you can’t feel your face this weekend, it’s likely not due to cold weather. It may, however, be because The Weeknd will be in town, along with Calvin Harris, Selena Gomez, and many more for the biggest pop concert of the holiday season. 3.Boston Music Awards, Night Two The BMAs expand to two nights this year, and the second evening—tonight—honors a legend of the local scene: Evan Dando of The Lemonheads. (Thursday, December 10 at 7 p.m.; The Sinclair; $25; all ages)

4. Nick Offerman: Sawdust & Mirth Talk and Signing For those who loved him at BU Theater’s Confederacy of Dunces, The Society of Arts and Crafts is hosting actor/comedian/mustache marvel Nick Offerman for a one-night talk and book signing. 5. Santa Speedo Run Just in time for freezing temperatures, squeeze yourself into a tiny bathing suit, slap on a fake beard and Santa hat, and haul your patoot down the streets of Boston to raise money for the Play Ball Foundation of Boston, an organization helping kids get into team sports. 6. Hanukkah Events by 8 Nights 8 Windows Celebrate the last few days of Hanukkah with events brought to us by Boston’s Jewish public art project 8 Nights, 8 Windows. See the “Hue Menorah’’ with free wine, cheese, and jelly doughnuts on Thursday, and kick it with the artists at the West End Museum on Friday. 7. Holiday Oddity Market Looking for painted animal skulls, religious art, strange vintage dolls, or other homemade gifts for the oddball in your family? Eridanos in Cambridge will host plenty of it. (Saturday, December 12 at noon; Eridanos; free entry; all ages)

8. Harry Potter and the Rocky Horror Picture Show Two fandoms intersect for one crazy show put on by Full Body Cast. See the Rocky Horror Picture Show, “shadowcasted’’ with Harry Potter characters — cloaks, wands, and all. (Saturday, December 12 at 11:30 p.m.; AMC Boston Common; $13; tickets at fandango.com)

9. Black Market More than 60 vendors come together to distribute various wares and goods from the local underground. Looking for rare vinyl, vintage clothing, art, and zines? The Black Market is your holiday resource. (Sunday, December 13 at 11 a.m.; Cambridge Elk’s Lodge; free entry; all ages)

10. Boston Gay Men’s Chorus Holiday Show Celebrate the opening night of the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus Holiday Show, which will run for four different performances throughout December. The 175-voice ensemble will weave through a collection of holiday classics and premiere Forbidden Holiday from the writers of the off-Broadway hit Forbidden Broadway.
