DINNER IS SERVED Guess what’s been adapted for the stage? The 1967 film classic “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.’’ Playwright Todd Kreidler’s version of the story about white liberal parents meeting their daughter’s African-American fiancee opens the Huntington Theatre Company’s season. LOCAL TUNES The Jamaica Plain Music Festival began in 2010 with one booking requirement, that all bands have at least one member living or working in JP. This year’s event features two stages and 21 bands including JP Bar Wars winner Bed of Coals, Hope and the Husbands, The Taxonomists, and for something completely different, the Boston Police Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums. FREE MFA DAY Malcom Rogers has been director of the Museum of Fine Arts longer than any other director (two decades).
