‘Carmina Burana’ at the Hatch Shell on July 16
For the first of its summer concerts at the Hatch Shell, the Boston Landmarks Orchestra presents Orff’s classic cantata “Carmina Burana.’’
Christopher Wilkins conducts the piece, with the Back Bay Chorale, the One City Choir, soprano Teresa Wakim, tenor R. Joshua Reynolds, and baritone Aaron Engebreth. The program also features Larry Bell’s adaptation of the orchestra’s unofficial anthem, “At the River,’’ followed by Bernstein’s “On the Waterfront.’’
The free concerts continue through August and include a program of spirituals, the annual “green’’ concert, and a night honoring the bicentennial of “The Star-Spangled Banner.’’
