Two New Englanders will be joining forces at “Saturday Night Live” next month.

Matt Damon will host the May 9, 2026 episode of “SNL,” with Noah Kahan serving as musical guest.

Kahan will be making his second appearance on “SNL” two weeks after the release of his new album, “The Great Divide,” on April 25.

The native New Englander (whose four Fenway Park shows this summer are all sold out) first visited “SNL” on December 2, 2023, when the singer-songwriter performed “Stick Season” and “Dial Drunk” on the Emma Stone-hosted episode.

Damon will be hosting “SNL” for the third time — though it may feel like more than that, thanks to his four additional cameo appearances over the years. The Cambridge native first hosted in 2002 with Bruce Springsteen as musical guest, then returned in 2018 to host alongside musical guests Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus.

A fun bit of trivia: Damon’s first appearance on “SNL” came during an episode hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow on November 10, 2001, but he did not appear in the “Boston Teens” sketch in that episode. Instead, Damon popped up in a “Mango” sketch opposite Chris Kattan.

Damon and Kahan were part of a larger announcement of the long-running variety show’s final hosts and musical guests of its 51st season.

Olivia Rodrigo will pull double duty as host and musical guest on May 2, Damon and Kahan will join forces for the season’s penultimate episode on May 9, and Will Ferrell will host the Season 51 finale on May 16 with musical guest Paul McCartney.
