2024 fall TV preview: Your guide to new and returning shows
A full 2024 fall TV preview, including a complete list of premiere dates for shows like "Yellowstone," "Squid Game," and "Tracker."
Last year, the entire television landscape was impacted by the dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which turned the fall TV calendar into an exercise in guesswork. The 2024 fall TV schedule is much more straightforward, though there are still a few lingering remnants of the lengthy work stoppages.
“High Potential,” a procedural starring Kaitlin Olson (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) as a police department janitor with untapped crime-solving acumen, was supposed to arrive in fall 2023 but instead debuted on ABC this week. The final half-season of “Yellowstone,” which was also supposed to debut back in November 2023, is finally arriving on the Paramount Network on November 10 — though without its longtime star, Kevin Costner.

Other noticeable trends on the list of 2024 fall TV premieres are a number of reboots, ranging from decades-old dramas like CBS’s “Matlock” (now starring Kathy Bates) to unscripted shows that you may have not even realized went away (“Scare Tactics,” “Property Virgins,” “Dance Moms”).
