It’s not quite Casey Affleck’s most memorable Dunkin’ bit (or Matt Damon’s, for that matter), but the younger Affleck brother and his “Instigators” co-star humorously fail to rob a Dunkin’ in a new promo for the movie now streaming on Apple TV+.
In the short video, which was posted to Dunkin’s social channels Thursday, the duo, presumably playing their “Instigators” roles, haphazardly attempt to stick up the Dunkin’ with crumpled bags over finger guns.
“I can see your hand, Einstein,” the cashier says unimpressed, as he pulls off Affleck’s bag.
“I also have a gun,” Damon chimes in unconvincingly.
“Two instigators here, bustin’ chops,” another Dunkin’ employee responds after removing Damon’s bag.
The promo not only features Affleck and Damon but also Boston creators Tommy Guarino and Prosciutto Papi. The “It’s content” pair play the Dunkin’ workers.
“The Instigators,” an action comedy that also features a failed heist, opened in theaters Aug. 2 and began streaming on Apple TV+ a week later.
