Grammy-winning singer and actress Gloria Estefan got on her feet and headed to a popular Boston nightlife spot for some live music late last week.
The Cuban-American icon visited Wally’s Cafe and Jazz Club on Thursday, catching a performance from local Latin jazz and salsa group The Timba Messengers, according to a post on Wally’s Facebook.
Gloria Estefan and her husband, fellow musician Emilio Estefan, have sporadically popped up on the Boston music scene ever since their daughter, Emily, enrolled at Berklee College of Music in 2013.
The couple purchased a condo in the Fenway neighborhood in 2014, and made appearances at numerous Berklee events, including a 2016 gala and a 2017 performance by Emily at the school’s Beantown Jazz Festival.
