Rapper Post Malone performed a powerful rendition of “America the Beautiful” at Super Bowl LVIII, kicking off the matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs in style.
Sporting an acoustic guitar and brown blazer, the Grammy-winning musician’s heartfelt performance was met by loud applause and cheers from the crowd assembled at Allegiant Stadium in Los Vegas.
Malone, born Austin Post, will be seen again during the Big Game: The rapper/actor is the star of a 2024 Super Bowl commercial for Bud Light alongside Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning.
Malone’s performance was the second of three pregame songs on the schedule. Before “America the Beautiful” came a beautiful rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by singer Andra Day. Following Malone was country legend Reba McEntire, performing the National Anthem.
