Watch: ‘SNL’ was live from home again, with Brad Pitt as Dr. Anthony Fauci
"And now live, kinda, from all across America, it's Saturday Night," said Brad Pitt.
‘Saturday Night Live’ returned this week with another unorthodox remotely-produced episode from home, to keep the show going while the country remains under stay-at-home orders during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The socially-distant cast members joined each other through video calls and pre-taped segments from their homes.
Brad Pitt started the show off as Dr. Anthony Fauci walking back some of the president’s recent claims about the virus. Pitt’s appearance was much to the delight to Fauci fans across the country, as the real Dr. Fauci joked back in April that he’d want Brad Pitt to play him on ‘SNL.’
The actor took a moment to break the fourth wall, remove the costume, and thank Dr. Fauci. “To the real Dr. Fauci, thank you for your calm, your clarity, in this unnerving time. Thank you to medical workers, first responders, and their families for being on the frontline,” Pitt said.
You can watch more of the episode on “Saturday Night Live”‘s website or YouTube page.
