Watch: Elizabeth Warren on ‘SNL’: ‘I’m not dead, I’m just in the Senate’
The former Democratic presidential candidate joined for an appearance on "The Ingraham Angle" to thank supporters and joke about whose campaign might get her endorsement.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren was there to open the show during last night’s SNL cold open with a Fox appearance on “The Ingraham Angle” hosted by Laura Ingraham (Kate McKinnon).
The sketch began with McKinnon’s Ingraham calling coronavirus concerns “liberal fan-fiction” and thanking the show’s sponsors such as, “Deer Tanks, let’s face it, shooting deer takes too long. Send Bambi to hell with Deer Tanks.”
The host is then joined by Fox’s Jeanine Pirro (Cecily Strong), Donald Trump Jr. (Mikey Day),ย Eric Trump (Alex Moffat), and Chris Matthews (Darrell Hammond) to discuss the coronavirus panic before interviewing Elizabeth Warren. McKinnon’s Ingraham tells Judge Jeanine Pirro (Cecily Strong) to stay safe, to which she quips, “No need. Alcohol is a disinfectant, so mama’s gonna live forever.”
Sen. Elizabeth Warren then joins to talk about the aftermath of Super Tuesday and how she’s been doing since announcing her decision to drop out of the presidential race this past week.
Bailey, her famous golden retriever who went viral this past week for breaking his good boy character and stealing a bite of a burrito, also makes a quick appearance.
When asked whose presidential campaign she might endorse, Warren jokes, “Maybe I’ll just pull a New York Times and endorse them both.”
After a quick change, Kate McKinnon, out of breath, runs out in her own Elizabeth Warren costume to stand with the senator. McKinnon thanks Warren who responds, “Uh, I’m not dead, I’m just in the Senate.”
The matching pair also took some time backstage to make a Tik Tok together, much to the amusement of fans on Twitter.
