‘The Bachelor’ season 24 cast includes a Wellesley business development rep
The 24-year-old's televised quest for true love begins Jan. 6.
The 30 women competing for pilot Peter Weber’s heart on season 24 of “The Bachelor” have been revealed, and one of them is a Wellesley High School grad who works in Boston.Payton Moran, 24, a business development representative at a direct-mail marketing company, was revealed as one of this season’s contestants during a live stream by “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison on Monday ahead of its Jan. 6 premiere.“It’s official!” Moran wrote on Instagram, where she posted a photo from the upcoming season. “Make sure to tune in January 6th.”

According to Moran’s cast bio, she’s “the type of woman who goes into a bar alone and leaves with 100 new best friends” and “loves to be the life of the party.”
The bio on ABC’s website initially said Moran “currently lives in her parents’ basement,” but Moran said that information was “not true” in an e-mail to Boston.com. ABC later removed the line from her bio.
Show representatives did not respond to a request for comment.
It remains to be seen whether Moran’s time on the show will last longer than last season’s local “Bachelor” contestant, Alex Dillon, who wore a full-body sloth costume when meeting bachelor Colton Underwood. Dillon was eliminated in the first episode.
