Tom Brady would want this actor to play him in a movie
The quarterback described the actor as "one of the 'grind it out' kind of guys."
If Hollywood ever makes a movie about Tom Brady’s life, who would play him? Turns out the quarterback has a specific actor in mind.
During an appearance on Westwood One radio, Brady took a question from a California firefighter about who should hypothetically portray the quarterback on the silver screen. His answer? Dorchester’s own Mark Wahlberg.
“I’m going with Mark Wahlberg,” Brady said. “A Boston legend, [from] Dorchester, one of the ‘grind it out’ kind of guys. He’d be my choice.”
Brady has made cameos in Wahlberg’s “Ted 2” and the Wahlberg-produced “Entourage” movie, so his pick isn’t surprising. Then again, Brady chose a different actor with local ties when asked the same question back in 2016: Matt Damon.
“Matt Damon. He’s a great actor, and he’s from Boston, so we’ve got a few things in common,” Brady told Harper’s Bazaar in a May 2016 interview. “I’ve seen him throw a football, though. He definitely needs to work on that.”
