Longmeadow 15-year-old Brynn Cartelli, the youngest-ever winner of NBC’s “The Voice,” performed her first single, “Walk My Way,” on the “Today” show Friday morning. As the teen serenaded the crowd in the show’s Rockfeller Center plaza, audience members sang along.
Cartelli’s coach on the reality singing competition, singer Kelly Clarkson, also performed on “Today” Friday morning and was there to support her protégé.
So proud of my girl @BrynnCartelli for killing it on @TODAYshow this morning. pic.twitter.com/CDwv6LqGqi

“Walk My Way,” which Cartelli performed for the first time during the finals of season 14 of “The Voice,” was written by Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, and Nick Monson, but Cartelli told Boston.com last month that she was quick to put her own mark on it.
“Julia’s version was amazing,” Cartelli said. “She sent us the demo, and I took that and made it my own. I changed a lot of the melodies, and a lot of the ideas were mine. I was just really proud of it.”
Cartelli’s parents, Damon and Deb Cartelli, accompanied her to the performance on Friday morning and did a short segment with Clarkson and “Today” host Hoda Kotb after their daughter sang.
“You know what? You made that,” Kotb said to the Cartellis.
“I did make that,” Cartelli’s mom said with a laugh before pointing to her husband and adding, “We made that.”
“Y’all did good,” Clarkson said.
“Congratulations,” Kotb said. “I can’t wait to see where she winds up.”
