Longmeadow 15-year-old Brynn Cartelli dedicated a song to her mother during Monday night’s live performance on NBC’s “The Voice.”

The youngest contestant in this season of the singing competition — and one of just 10 remaining competitors — performed “Fix You” by Coldplay.

“My mom has been going through some health issues recently,” Cartelli said during the episode. “And so this song is the message that I want to get across — to help my family and to help her.”

Singer Kelly Clarkson, Cartelli’s coach, gave Cartelli yet another standing ovation after Cartelli sang. During a previous show, Clarkson said she thought Cartelli would win the competition. The other coaches this season are Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton.

“It’s an amazing thing to watch just someone so young sing that message and you feel it,” Clarkson said after Cartelli’s performance. “Like, how do you feel that? You’re like 15. It’s the craziest thing to me. It’s just innate in you. That’s something you cannot teach, America. … You were born to sing.”

Another top 10 contestant, Berklee College of Music student Jackie Foster, performed the song “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles during Monday night’s competition.

“It was a beautiful vocal,” said Keys, Foster’s coach, after the performance. “That was a gorgeous performance. I was totally riveted and taken into your world. So thank you for bringing us into your heart.”
