At the 90th Academy Awards Sunday night, Salma Hayek, Ashley Judd, and Annabella Sciorra — three women who have publicly accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct — introduced a video montage about diversity and on-screen representation in storytelling.

“This year, many spoke their truth, and the journey ahead is long,” Sciorra said, “but slowly a new path has emerged.”

Here are five noteworthy quotes from the actors, directors, and writers who took part in the Oscars montage.

—”Some of my favorite movies are movies by straight white dudes, about straight white dudes. Now straight white dudes can watch movies starring me, and you relate to that. It’s not that hard. I’ve done it my whole life.” –Actor and screenwriter Kumail Nanjiani
