The first teaser trailer for Amy Schumer’s upcoming movie “I Feel Pretty,” which was filmed in Boston and other Massachusetts towns in summer 2017, hit the internet Thursday.
Schumer debuted the trailer on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” where the actress and comedian told DeGeneres that she stars in the film as Renee, a woman with low self-confidence who has an accident and suddenly sees herself as drop-dead gorgeous.
“I fall off my bike in SoulCycle, and I start seeing myself as a supermodel,” Schumer said. “I look exactly the same, but in my mind I am Gisele.”
“I Feel Pretty” filmed in the South End, Chinatown, Salisbury, Lynn, and a SoulCycle in Dedham, but locals may be disappointed to learn that Boston is merely a stand-in for New York City in the film, according to The Boston Globe.
“I Feel Pretty” hits theaters June 29.
