A Mass. teen was the unexpected star of the Super Bowl halftime show
Did you see it?
As Justin Timberlake walked through the crowd during the 2018 Super Bowl halftime show, one boy — phone in hand — appeared unsure of what to do as the pop star stood inches from him.

Thanks to Timberlake, that boy, identified by Good Morning America as 13-year-old Ryan of Scituate, eventually got a selfie with the star.

Thanks to the internet, Ryan is also now getting his 15 minutes of fame as #selfiekid and #superbowlselfiekid.

And finally, thanks to his shirt, Ryan is getting a season pass to a Maine ski resort, as well.
Eagle-eyed viewers may have observed that Ryan was wearing a shirt from Sunday River, the ski resort in Newry, Maine. Sunday River marketing vice president certainly noticed, tweeting that he would give Ryan a season pass to the mountain.
#SuperBowl kid, I have a season pass for you.

Sunday River spokeswoman Darcy Lambert told The Boston Globe that the resort had one message after seeing its unexpected halftime show promotion: “Touchdown Sunday River!”
