Summer Phoenix reportedly files for divorce from Casey Affleck
After a nearly two-year separation, actress Summer Phoenix has reportedly filed for divorce from actor and Cambridge native Casey Affleck.
According to People magazine, the actress, model, designer, and younger sister of Joaquin Phoenix filed court documents seeking spousal support and joint physical and legal custody of their children, sons Indiana, 13, and Atticus, 9.
Affleck, 41, and Phoenix, 38, began dating in 2000 and married in June 2006. Their separation was first reported in November 2015, after 10 years of marriage and a 16-year relationship.
“Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix have amicably separated,” a rep for Affleck told People in March 2016. “They remain very close friends.”
Affleck has been dating actress Floriana Lima (Supergirl) since 2016.
