Steve Carell responds to his new ‘silver fox’ status with Jimmy Fallon

In case you haven’t heard the news, the internet has decided that Acton native Steve Carell is hot now.

“Guys, Steve Carell Just Got Insanely Hot And I Don’t Know How To Feel About It,” writes Buzzfeed. “Nothing Will Prepare You for These Hot Photos of Steve Carell,” says Harper’s Bazaar. “Move Over Clooney: Steve Carell Is Our Favorite Silver Fox Now,” declares HuffPost.

Naturally, when Carell stopped by The Tonight Show on Tuesday to promote his upcoming film Despicable Me 3, he and host Jimmy Fallon had a little fun riffing on The Office star’s newfound sex appeal.

“Do you get invited to silver fox meetings?” Fallon asked. “Do you go to a club and, like, Anderson Cooper is there, [and] Andy Cohen?”

“There’s a bracelet you get,” Carell said. “Mine says, ‘Steve.’ It’s exciting. And on the other side of the bracelet it says, ‘Hunk of man meat.'”

“That warms the heart, is what it does,” Fallon replied.

“You know what? My wife finally said she’s in love with me,” Carell continued. “I’m very excited.”

While Carell donned a sleek gray suit that matched his hair during the segment, he didn’t maintain that chic look for his entire Tonight Show appearance. He and Fallon also donned absurd faux facial hair and wigs for a game of “Blow Your Mind,” in which The Roots bandleader Questlove read absurd statements to the duo. They each took turns determining whether they were true or false, while also getting blasted in the face with confetti.
