Sudbury native Chris Evans has reportedly picked his newest project, a film set halfway around the world.

According to Deadline, Evans is set to star in Red Sea Diving Resort, a historical drama centered around the rescue and transport of Beta Jews from Ethiopia to Israel in 1981. Evans will reportedly play Ari Kidron, a “charming Israeli agent who assembles a ragtag team to help with the exodus on the ground.”

Red Sea Diving Resort will be directed by Gideon Raff, best known as the creator of the Israeli TV show Prisoners of War and as an executive producer for its American spinoff, Homeland.
