Stars like Casey Affleck and Emma Stone may have won big at the 89th Academy Awards, but one of Jimmy Kimmel’s infamous “Mean Tweets” segments that aired during the Oscars was quick to bring them back down to Earth from La La Land.

In the segment, Affleck, a Cambridge native and star of Manchester by the Sea, read a mean tweet from one Twitter hater, who had written, “Casey Affleck is the real-life version of Billy Bob Thornton’s character in Sling Blade.”

Natalie Portman, who received an Oscar nomination for her performance as Jacqueline Kennedy in the biopic Jackie, was absent from the ceremony due to her pregnancy, but that didn’t save her from the wrath of the Internet.

“Feel like if you went to lunch with Natalie Portman she would only order a hot tea with lemon and maybe some toast. Definitely not an entree though,” read a very pregnant Portman, before turning to the side to reveal her baby bump.

“You are wrong,” she said to the camera.
