Casey Affleck has a message for Boston film critics
Casey Affleck couldn’t make the Boston Society of Film Critics’ annual awards ceremony Sunday night, but the Cambridge-bred actor sent a video thanking local critics for their endorsement of “Manchester by the Sea.”
“It means the world to us because you guys would have seen through any artifice in this movie. You would have known right away when we were faking it,” Affleck said in the video. “The acknowledgment is comforting and reassuring.”
