Watch two Boston pups compete on the gridiron on Super Bowl Sunday
They'll star in Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl XIII.
Two Boston rescues will become TV stars on Super Bowl Sunday when they jump, tumble, and score on the gridiron during Puppy Bowl XIII.
Daisy Moses, a Chihuahua mix, and Mr. Wimpers, a pit and lab mix, will compete in Animal Planet’s annual canine “football game,” during which adorable, adoptable dogs wrestle and run through the uprights with toy footballs.
Animal Planet recruited 78 puppies from rescue organizations in 22 states for this year’s show. Daisy Moses and Mr. Wimpers are both residents of Last Hope K9 Rescue, a Boston shelter that saves abandoned and abused dogs from high-kill shelters.
On Feb. 5, you can watch “Team Ruff” compete against “Team Fluff for the “Petco Lombarky” trophy, and see cute footage from the show’s “water bowl cam” and “kiss cam.”
Or, if you’re more of a cat person, tune in for the furry feline antics during the Kitty Halftime Show.
Puppy Bowl XIII will air Feb. 5 at 3 p.m. on Animal Planet. The three-hour show will then air repeatedly for the rest of the day, to the delight of animal lovers.
All of the dogs and cats in the show are up for adoption.
