After a tough 5-4 loss to the Cleveland Indians in Game 1 of the ALDS Thursday night, Red Sox fans may be in need of a rally anthem to pick up their spirits for Friday’s Game 2 at 4:30 p.m. on TBS. Lucky for Sox Nation, a pair of local musicians have just the song.

Randy Lo and Brandon Cappiello (who performs as Brandon Capp) earned plaudits in January when they released “Champion (Patriots Anthem)” for the Pats’ playoff run, racking up more than 300,000 YouTube views in the process.

On Thursday, the duo released “Never Back Down (Red Sox Anthem),” along with a music video filmed at Fenway Park.

“This song is a celebration and tribute for the team,” Capp told The Enterprise. “2016 is a special year for the Red Sox. They had a little bit of a questionable start, but they never backed down, and look where they are right now.”

The song’s lyrics are full of references to the Red Sox and the city of Boston at large.

“We came a long way, but it ain’t over yet,” Lo raps. “Like the bottom of the sixth, keep poppin’ up with hits like Big Papi. Never fold, never back down from anybody.”

Along with the video on YouTube, “Never Back Down” is available on iTunes.
