Ben Affleck stopped by The Tonight Show Thursday to promote his upcoming film The Accountant. While some stars might just tell an amusing anecdote and roll a clip from the movie, Affleck and host Jimmy Fallon decided to reenact a few scenes, as imagined by children.
These scenes, performed by Affleck and Fallon and “written by” elementary schoolers who only had the title “The Accountant” to work with, resulted in some pretty silly storytelling involving astronaut accountants and awkwardly long hugs.

Fallon also razzed Affleck by showing a clip from The Voyage of the Mimi, a 1984 PBS show that Affleck starred in when he was a preteen.
“I love the ‘hahhd,’” Fallon said, mimicking young Affleck’s Boston accent and prepubescent voice. “It was really hahhd to see that whale.”
“The whale, it was really fahhh,” Affleck squeakily chimed in.
