Answer: This comedian and Newton native won $50,000 for charity on an episode of Jeopardy! Wednesday night.
Question: Who is Louis C.K.?
C.K. was a contestant on the third night of the game show’s Power Players week, facing off against CNN host Kate Bolduan and Washington Post writer and MSNBC contributor Jonathan Capehart.
Though C.K. trailed Bolduan by $200 after the first round, he wagered big on the last “Daily Double” during Double Jeopardy, and couldn’t be caught by the time Final Jeopardy came around.
With victory in hand, C.K. still got Final Jeopardy correct. (Answer: With the passing of Antonin Scalia, this Reagan appointee became the longest-tenured Justice on the court. Question: Who is Anthony Kennedy?)

C.K.’s winnings will go to the Fistula Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to helping those with obstetric fistula, a childbirth injury caused by prolonged, unrelieved obstructed labor, according to the organization’s website.
Members of the Foundation cheered C.K. on with cardboard cutouts of his face.

Despite facing off against two prominent journalists, C.K. proved he has a lot more than jokes rattling around in his head.
