A new Lego Movie is opening in Boston this weekend
It’s called The Lego Movie 4D: A New Adventure, and it’s only screening at Legoland Boston.
Did your child (or you, for that matter) love The Lego Movie in 2014? If it left you craving more toy-based adventure, the Legoland Discover Center in Somerville will be screening The Lego Movie 4D: A New Adventure starting this weekend.
This new 15-minute film will feature many of the same characters from the 2014 film, including Emmet, Wyldstyle, Unikitty, Benny, and MetalBeard, voiced by many of the same actors: Alison Brie, Nick Offerman, Charlie Day, and Pittsfield native Elizabeth Banks all return. A New Adventure introduces a new villain, as well: Risky Business, voiced by Patton Oswalt, the same actor who was the voice of Remy from Ratatouille. The “4D’’ effects of the film include wind, water, fog and more, creating a multi-sensory experience for the audience.

After a private screening on Friday, the film will open to the public on Saturday, February 20. The movie is included in the price of admission to Legoland Discovery Center, and it will screen several times throughout the day. Want to see the film but don’t have a kid? Legoland’s next Adult Night is March 16 and will be themed around the movie.
