The past year has been a big one for Grateful Dead fans. For their 50th anniversary, remaining members of the band gathered for its final shows together in July. Shortly after, however, guitarist Bob Weir, and drummers Bill Kruetzman and Mickey Hart hit the road with a handful of all-star musicians — including John Mayer on guitar — under the name “Dead & Company.’’

The Grateful dead supergroup has now announced a summer trek that will end with two shows at Fenway Park on July 15 and 16. The band has played Massachusetts once already– a Worcester show in November which you can listen to here.

The home of the Sox will already be in the Dead spirit this upcoming season, as the Red Sox are bringing back Grateful Dead night on April 28. Other dates on the Dead & Company tour include a stop at the Bonnaroo Music Festival and a show in Hartford at the Xfinity Theatre. The band will make its late-night TV debut on February 18 playing the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

While most of the band’s tour dates will go on sale via Ticketmaster on February 12 at 10 a.m., ticket information for the Fenway shows have not yet been revealed.
