Every John Krasinski movie, ranked from worst to best

The good and the bad of Krasinski’s 15 years on the silver screen, as told by Rotten Tomatoes.

In a film career that has spanned 15 years, Newton native John Krasinski has yet to evolve into a consistent leading man. Even his most famous role, as Jim Halpert on NBC’s The Office, is a sidekick to Acton native Steve Carell’s clueless boss Michael Scott.

His newest role, however, puts him squarely in action-hero Mark Wahlberg territory: he plays a Navy Seal tasked with defending an American diplomatic compound in Michael Bay’s new film, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, which hits theaters Friday.

That said, not every actor needs to be a Mark Wahlberg, and throughout his career, Krasinski has added quite a bit to films in a secondary role.
