Ramiro will once again be a voice of Boston morning radio, this time for Hot 96.9
The Freakin’ Puerto Rican is back.

Ramiro Torres in 2005.
Ramiro “The Freakin’ Puerto Rican’’ Torres is no stranger to Boston’s hip-hop radio. Now, he will join HOT 96.9’s GetUp Crew along with Pebbles, Melissa, and Wiggy.
Everett-native Torres has been a morning-show regular for over 20 years, most recently hosting mornings on Jam’n 94.5. He will once again succeed Baltazar, whom he replaced at Jam’n in 2001. Baltazar joined Hot 96.9 upon its launch in Boston. In 2014, Baltazar was replaced by Wiggy (aka, Jermaine Wiggins, former Super Bowl winning tight end for the New England Patriots). Now, Torres will reunite with former Jam’n 94.5 co-host Pebbles, Melissa (who also came from 94.5), as well as Wiggy.
“Ramiro is the consummate professional, and I am thrilled that he is joining the GetUp Crew,’’ HOT 96.9 market manager Mary Menna said in a release. “He has such a long history with both listeners and clients, who will all be excited to welcome him back to the Boston airwaves every morning.’’
This time, the Freakin’ Puerto Rican will deliver the “Second Date Update’’ instead of the “Jam Scam.’’
