Fresh off their off-Broadway debut, comedians Nick Kroll and John Mulaney are bringing their stage show Oh, Hello to the Wilbur Theater. They’ll appear in four shows from January 31 to February 2.

For those unfamiliar, Mulaney spent years writing for Saturday Night Live and has several successful stand-up specials, as well as a self-titled sitcom, Mulaney, that Fox quickly canceled after 13 episodes.

Kroll is perhaps best known as Ruxin on FX’s fantasy football comedy The League. His own self-titled show, Kroll Show, was an underrated gem during its three seasons on Comedy Central.

The duo go way back, having first met as students at Georgetown University, and having later hosted comedy shows together in New York City.

It was on Kroll Show that Mulaney and Kroll showcased Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland, the characters featured in Oh, Hello. Gil and George are two elderly Jewish residents of the Upper West Side who spend their days complaining about various slights and filming their self-made prank show, Too Much Tuna. Though the premise sounds very specific, the characters enjoy a broad appeal, as evidenced by the fact that Kroll and Mulaney had to add two additional shows in Boston after the first two sold out in less than a day.

Though the originally scheduled shows on February 1 and 2 have sold out, tickets are available on the Wilbur’s website for the 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. shows on Sunday, January 31.
