John Krasinski and Jimmy Kimmel’s epic Christmas prank war continues
The Newton native appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to show how he tricked the late-night host.
The holidays always come with traditions, and possibly one of the most entertaining is Jimmy Kimmel and Newton native John Krasinski’s long-running Christmas prank war.
The antics have been ongoing for about four years, they said on Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Krasinski appeared on the show to review all the ways he pummeled Kimmel with Christmas cheer in 2015, which included a NSFW special Santa visit outside of Kimmel’s office window, turning his office into a winter wonderland, and even a reindeer appearance.

“I am not going in this room, I don’t know what’s in here. It smells weird, though,’’ Kimmel said in a video, standing outside his bathroom that was serving as a makeshift reindeer pen.
When he opened the door to see the ‘gift’—which had a tag hanging from its antlers that read, “Ho ho ho! From your secret Santa,’’—Kimmel laughed and said, “Enough already!’’
Kimmel got his payback by printing out Krasinski’s address on a “Celebrity yard sale’’ sign and showing the posters pasted up all around town. Harsh, Jimmy.
Then he dowsed Krasinski in eggnog for good measure.
