Local folkateer James Taylor is wrapping up a fine 2015, a year that brought him a new album called Before This World, a song honoring Fenway Park, and two Grammy nominations. Looking ahead to 2016, Taylor has now announced that he will return to Tanglewood for two nights, July 3 and 4, during the upcoming season.

Taylor first performed at Tanglewood in 1974 and has returned to the Western Massachusetts festival a total of 24 times. As is tradition for Taylor, proceeds from these shows will be donated back to Tanglewood. The singer will be joined by his All-Star Band to perform some of his most classic songs, as well as selections from Before This World. Tickets start at $27 and are available starting January 17 through Tanglewood’s website.
