Bruce Springsteen announces tour, confirms Boston date

The Boss and his E Street Band are returning to the Hub as part of The River Tour.

The Bruce Springsteen faithful have anxiously awaited The Ties That Bind: The River Collection, a reissue of his 1980 album The River. Friday morning, the singer paired the album release with news of a winter U.S. tour. Worry not, local Springsteen buffs: There’s a Boston date on the calendar.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band will appear at TD Garden on February 4, an appearance that will mark the rocker’s first in Bay State since his Fenway shows in 2012. Springsteen will also appear in Hartford on February 12 at the XL Center.
