Boston gave Jennifer Lawrence a fake mental illness
If you hear her talking about “STS,’’ here’s what she means.
Jennifer Lawrence stars in Joy, opening December 25. Seems fitting, considering the wintry weather that the cast and crew had to endure while filming here in Boston.
“I still have Snowst Traumatic Stress,’’ Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly. “I feel like I’m in Game of Thrones, running around going, ‘Winter is coming again!’’’
Let’s hope she gets that checked out.
Director David O. Russell, on the other hand, thought it created the perfect setting.
“It actually turned out great for us. The snow is very beautiful and Joy [the character] loves snow from a very young age,’’ he said.

Lawrence plays the title character in the film, which is a biographical dramedy about the single mother who invented the “Miracle Mop’’ and rose to riches. Russell and Lawrence previously collaborated on Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. December will tell us whether Joy will have the same magic.
