Mark Wahlberg reunites with New Kids on the Block for first time in 20 years

The actor was even introduced as “Marky Mark’’ for old time’s sake.

New Kids on the Block arrive in Boston tomorrow for two shows at TD Garden, but the magic has already started on the NKOTB tour. At Madison Square Garden on Monday night, Mark Wahlberg, an original member of the New Kids before he created The Funky Bunch, reunited with the band for the first time in 20 years.

That’s right, Marky Mark came back:

The concert as a whole was star-studded, featuring appearances from 50 Cent, Biz Markie, Lloyd Banks, and more, but it was Wahlberg, who was introduced as “Good Vibrations’’ played in the background, that stole the show.

Unfortunately, Wahlberg didn’t drop any hot rhymes like, “The vibrations good like Sunkist / Many wanna know who done this.’’ With such an enormous reception, however, it may not be far-fetched to hold out for a full reunion some day soon.

NKOTB fans have been waiting.
