After months of online speculation that rapper Cardi B might be pregnant, the musician formally announced she is expecting a child with her boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Cardi B officially broke the news during an exclusive interview with “CBS Mornings” host Gayle King.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” Cardi told King. “I’m excited, I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, I feel very powerful. I’m doing all this work while creating a baby. Me and my man are very supportive of each other.”
Cardi B previously had three children with the rapper Offset. Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in 2024, but the divorce has not been finalized.
Cardi spoke about how her and Diggs, who began dating in late 2024 but didn’t make their relationship public until May 2025, complement each other.
“Me and him think the same way,” Cardi said. “We’re never comfortable. We want to keep doing it. That’s how we both are.”
The rapper also spoke about a song from her upcoming album, “Am I The Drama” (Sept. 19) dedicated to Diggs.
The song, “Safe,” was inspired by the Patriots receiver, who Cardi says makes her feel safe both physically (“You see how big he is”) and mentally.
“He makes me feel very confident,” Cardi said. “I feel like, feeling safe is feeling confident. Feeling like, you can do it. [He] makes you feel you could take over the world.”
Cardi’s pregnancy announcement came less than 24 hours after the rapper announced her upcoming nationwide tour, which will visit TD Garden on April 2, 2026.
