Watch: Brookline native Conan O’Brien spotted riding the bus in Cambridge

The Harvard University graduate made sure to thank the bus driver as he made his way around Cambridge this weekend.

When he’s in Cambridge, Conan O’Brien apparently relies on the MBTA just as much as any commuter.

The Brookline native and former late-night host was spotted riding the bus Saturday, likely in the city for his 40th reunion at Harvard University. O’Brien, 62, graduated from the institution in 1985 with a degree in history and literature.

Boston Carmen’s Union, Local 589 shared on X the moment where O’Brien thanked his bus driver, Craig Capavella.

“Let’s hear it for this guy!” O’Brien said after shaking the driver’s hand. “You’ve got the best bus driver in Cambridge right here!”

O’Brien’s praise was met with applause from the other passengers as he departed.

“Thanks for riding with us, Conan!” the union wrote.
