Wondering why Matt Damon didn’t join Ben and Casey Affleck (and Jeremy Strong) in the teaser for Dunkin’s 2025 Super Bowl commercial? Maybe he was too busy playing soccer star David Beckham’s “long-lost twin” in a Super Bowl ad for Stella Artois.
Stella Artois released its first ad for the big game Tuesday morning, featuring the former Manchester United star meeting his separated-at-birth twin brother, dubbed “other David” by their parents.
Despite some initial culture clash (including confusion over why buffalo wings are made with chicken instead of buffalo), the brothers bond over a shared love of the pilsner, which was first brewed in 1926.
Like the Dunkin’ Super Bowl commercials released in 2023, 2024, and 2025, Stella Artois’ Super Bowl ad was directed by Ben Affleck and produced by Damon and Affleck’s production company, Artists Equity.
Though Affleck was behind the camera instead of in front of it for the Stella ad, Damon still squeezed in a friendly dig at his childhood pal in the 60-second spot.
“My brother is a famous soccer player,” Damon marvels. “So how famous are you? Like Matt Damon famous?
“Maybe Ben Affleck famous,” Beckham replies.
“Ah, that’s a shame,” Damon responds.
