Actress Olivia Wilde (“House”) was front and center at the Celtics-Lakers game Thursday night, attending the game alongside a former pro basketball player turned actor originally from Lexington.

Wilde and actor Dane DiLiegro, best known for playing the Predator in the 2022 movie “Prey,” sat near the court at the Crypto.com Arena on Thursday as the Celtics fell to the Lakers, 117-96.

Photos from the game show the pair sharing some smiles and conversation and DiLiegro, 36, with his arm around Wilde, 40.

Wilde and DiLiegro were in good company at the game, sitting in a section with comedian (and Arlington native) Dane Cook and his wife, Kelsi Taylor; Lakers President/Owner Jeanie Buss and her husband, comedian Jay Mohr; and former Lakers forward Danny Green, who formally announced his retirement from the NBA in October.

Wilde is no stranger to having her love life scrutinized. The Philips Academy grad was married to Italian prince Tao Ruspoli from 2003 to 2011, before she began a relationship with “Ted Lasso” actor Jason Sudeikis.

Wilde and Sudeikis, who welcomed two children together, had an acrimonious breakup in 2020. Not long after, Wilde began dating singer Harry Styles, who was starring in the Wilde-directed film “Don’t Worry Darling.”

After graduating from Lexington High School, DiLiegro was a four-year starter for the University of New Hampshire’s basketball team and subsequently played professionally overseas, mostly in Italy.

DiLiegro’s most notable work to date has come in creature actor roles in films like “Prey” and “Imaginary,” but his next project will tap into his hoops acumen, playing Eastern European basketball player Badrag Knauss on the Mindy Kaling-produced Netflix series “Running Point.”

The comedy series, debuting Feb. 27, stars Kate Hudson as a Jeanie Buss-like figure who is appointed president of the fictional Los Angeles Waves after her brother resigns in disgrace. Along with DiLiegro and Hudson, “Running Point” also features Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Jay Ellis and Max Greenfield.

In a 2022 interview with Boston.com, DiLiegro said that his goal was to forge a career that didn’t rely solely on playing monsters buried under layers of prosthetics and makeup.

“The dream is to do a project where you can see my face,” DiLiegro said. “I want people to get to know the guy under the rubber.”
