Julianne Moore will receive the Coolidge Award in April
Past recipients include Meryl Streep and Michael Douglas.
The Coolidge Corner Theatre will honor Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore with the Coolidge Award on Thursday, April 25, the theater announced Wednesday. The award is in recognition of “her iconic performances and distinctive contributions to cinema.’’
On the afternoon of April 25, the Coolidge will host a screening of Moore’s most recent film, “Gloria Bell’’ — which the Globe’s Mark Feeney called “a tour de relaxed force’’ that manages to make normal “so appealing’’ — followed by an audience Q&A with Moore. That evening, Moore will also participate in an onstage conversation before the award presentation.
In the days leading up to the events, The Coolidge will host multiple screenings of some of Moore’s most acclaimed films, including “Magnolia,’’ “The Kids Are All Right,’’ “Hannibal,’’ and “Far From Heaven.’’
Past Coolidge Award recipients include Meryl Streep, Michael Douglas, and Jane Fonda, among others.
