Aly Raisman says she has her first broken bone
The athlete posted a photo of herself in a cast on social media.
Aly Raisman practiced gymnastics for nearly 20 years, but it was a flight of stairs that gave her her first broken bone.
The Olympic athlete and Needham native took to social media to announce her injury, posting a black-and-white photo of herself in a cast and cuddling a dog on both Instagram and Twitter.
“I survived two Olympic Games and 19 years of gymnastics without ever breaking a bone,” Raisman wrote in a caption for the photo. “The stairs got to me…I fell and broke my elbow.”
