Bethenny Frankel spent two days at Newton-Wellesley Hospital after a near-death experience
The reality star is also trying to get the hospital new beds.
“Real Housewives” star Bethenny Frankel suffered a near-death experience on Sunday when she went into anaphylactic shock, resulting in a two-day stay at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in between the emergency room and intensive care unit.
In a series of tweets Monday night and Tuesday morning, Frankel said that she suffers from a “rare fish allergy” and that, after having some soup, she fell unconscious.
I have rare fish allergy. Sun,I had soup, itched & was unconscious for 15 mins then to ER & ICU for 2 days w BP of 60/40.I couldn’t talk, see, thought I had a stroke & dying & told if 5 mins later I’d be dead. 911 & EPI saved me.I’ll never not carry an #epipen @newtonwellesley xo

Frankel thanked Newton-Wellesley for its care, calling it “the best hospital I’ve ever been to,” and asking mattress manufacturer Casper to donate mattresses to the hospital.
“Of course my next project is to get them new mattresses from @Casper bc they have no budget for TVs or comfortable beds 🙁 for really sick people,” Frankel tweeted.

After apparently striking out with Casper, Frankel tagged Swedish furniture giant Ikea instead.
“Well @Casper said they can’t help with mattresses for @newtonwellesley so if anyone else has a mattress contact, please let me know,” Frankel tweeted. “The number in total is approx 200 twin mattresses or even those comfortable pillow tops. They also need pillows & linens. Thanks @ikea ???”
