Gillette Stadium wasn’t Ed Sheeran’s only performance venue this past weekend.

The English singer-songwriter stopped by Boston Children’s Hospital to visit with young patients on Saturday, according to a hospital representative. Sheeran was in town for a two-night performance with Snow Patrol and Anne-Marie.

Sheeran answered a number of questions from kids, including what he’s currently listening to, what inspires his music, and his favorite movie (1993’s “Cool Runnings,’’ followed by “The Lion King’’ and “Finding Nemo’’). Kids also asked whether his signature black frame glasses are real and he said that they were.

After the Q&A, Sheeran performed an acoustic version of “Perfect’’ on his guitar. He then took photos with every patient, according to the rep.

The event was held at the hospital’s Ryan Seacrest Studio, which broadcasts to hospital bedsides. Patients who were unable to attend in person were able to listen live and call in with questions.
