Amy Schumer shares emotional video from wedding to acclaimed Massachusetts chef
"I truly cannot wait another second to be your wife."
Amy Schumer’s marriage to Massachusetts chef Chris Fischer was a big surprise to many, given that Schumer announced it only one day after effectively confirming the couple’s relationship, Instagramming a photo of herself kissing Fischer.
In a wedding video she shared on Instagram on Wednesday, Schumer said that she simply couldn’t wait any longer to marry Fischer.

As part of the comedian’s vows that were captured in the video, she naturally included a joke, saying she wanted to “plug some of my road dates,” before getting sappy.
“People are wondering, ‘Why the rush? Why so fast?’ and it’s because I truly cannot wait another second to be your wife,” Schumer said. “I love you.”
Fischer, the James Beard Award-winning chef who runs the Martha’s Vineyard-set Beetlebung Farm, was similarly effusive in his vows to Schumer.
“I love you, Amy,” Fischer said. “You bring happiness and joy to every part of my life. You are the best thing to ever happen to me. I love you with every piece of my heart.”
